The history
A family estate with deep roots in Séguret, Vaucluse
Since its origins, Domaine de Cabasse has embodied the spirit of a family estate with a strong attachment to the land and to passing on traditions. Nestled at the foot of Séguret, ranked among the most beautiful villages in France, our estate has evolved over generations with a constant focus on authenticity and respect for the terroir. Between a passion for wine and deep roots in Vaucluse, the estate’s history reflects strong human values, with each stage of our journey written as a family.
1961
Nadine and Hélène Latour, unrivalled cordon bleu chefs, took possession of a group of old buildings to set up their guest house, which proved a great success right up until their departure. Nadine, the chef, has written a collection of her recipes developed during her years working at the Domaine de Cabasse.
1990
Antoinette Henni took over the running of the guest house and turned it into a full-fledged restaurant, while her husband Alfred, an agronomist trained at the best schools in Bern, Switzerland, set up the wine business. They developed a full range of wines from the Sablet, Séguret and Gigondas appellations.
2012
The Baudry family gives new momentum to Domaine de Cabasse. The hotel is renovated and extended from 13 to 23 rooms. The cellar is equipped with new machinery for a constant quest for quality.
2014 – 2016
Under the guidance of Philippe Cambie, the 8th cuvée is created, named ‘Marguerite’ in celebration of Anne and Benoit's daughter, their 8th child after 7 sons. This period also saw a boom in export sales, with significant development in Asia and Northern Europe.
2022
The latest folly. After selling the hotel business at Domaine de Cabasse, the Baudry family set its sights on the former Domaine de Pialon, bought from Chinese entrepreneur Jack Zhang.
2022 – 2025
Domaine de Cabasse moves to the spacious, well-equipped cellar at Chemin des Ramières. During the first harvest, 34ha of grapes were picked and 1000hl vinified. The estate continues to develop and renovation work continues on the buildings surrounding the estate, including the family home, the cellar and the tasting room. During this period, Corentin joins his parents in the adventure as winegrower and winemaker, without giving up his piano altogether. The winery also adopts a new visual identity that definitely sets it apart from its previous hotel activities.
